Fitness Weight Loss Programs - Learn Great Tips To Achieve Your Fitness Goals Now

By Josh Neumann Fitness weight loss programs are vital to helping you lose fat and achieve your fitness goals. There are few things in life that are as important as physical fitness. If your body is not in shape and operating at peak health, you will never reach your full potential in life. Here are some great tips to help you not only achieve your maximum fitness level, but actually enjoy the process and look forward to your workout every single day. There is no better way to lose weight than exercising outside. Having your workout outside rejuvenates you and lifts your spirits. Hiking is a great form of outdoor exercise, as it helps you to enjoy nature and achieve better physical fitness at the same time. Here are some tips to help you enjoy your hiking excursion much more, and anticipate it throughout the day. Know the conditions. Make sure there is no poison ivy or wild animals to watch out for before you embark. It can be disastrous to begin a hike without knowing the dangers that particular trail presents. You need a full knowledge of the area you will be hiking before you embark. Wear clothing that is appropriate and fits the terrain and hiking conditions. Stay away from cotton. Whey you sweat, cotton actually sticks to your body, making the hike miserable. Try using synthetic or natural fibers which pulls moisture away from your body. Wear layers to keep yourself warm in case of rain or cold weather, versus carrying around a large parka. The two most important pieces of hiking equipment are your shoes and socks. Poor footwear can cause considerable pain when hiking; make sure this area of clothing is made for exercise. Always carry a first aid kit in case of an emergency. Its always better to be safe than sorry. Here are some items you should always carry in your kit: -Different sizes and shapes of bandages to be prepared for any catastrophe. -Various types of tape for wounds or fixing tools. -Suntan solution -An emergency blanket -Aspirin -Knife -Cell phone You will soon find that hiking can become the highlight of your day, and you will come to anticipate it. Follow this simple fitness weight loss program, and you will reach your fitness goals quickly and effectively, and enjoy every minute of it. Online Dating: What Can I Expect From My Dating Site

By Suzy Allen In recent years, the online dating industry has exploded and nowadays there are literally thousands of dating sites to choose from. These sites differ greatly from each other in their offerings and its not hard to see how one could get confused when coming to choose between them. One point of contention when using dating sites is what exactly can the user expect the site to provide in terms of service, support etc. While there are no clearly defined guidelines for what is expected of a dating site, there are some general industry standards which are adhered to by reputable sites. Here are a few things you can expect from a good dating site, as well as a few things that would not be included in the service. Things to be expected: 1. Reliability When using a site, its not unreasonable to expect it to run smoothly and efficiently and allow you to make use of the features it advertises. This is especially true if you have paid for the services, but is also a reasonable expectation even if you are using a free site. 2. Privacy policy/terms and conditions Never trust a site that does not advertise its terms and conditions and privacy policy openly. These are usually available as links from the main page or the about page of the site, sometimes at the bottom of the page. Although often lengthy and boring, these documents are an important read if you want to know exactly what it is you are agreeing to when you sign up to the site. 3. Problem resolution Dating sites are designed to be a safe and secure environment for people to meet. While sometimes its impossible for the site to weed out every dodgy person immediately, its perfectly reasonable to expect the moderators of the site to respond quickly to complaints voiced by users and for offensive users to be removed from the site. 4. Support for issues to do with the site If you have problems using any of the features on a site, you can expect help and support from the site staff. This includes explanations of anything from the chat system to how to contact people or how to upload a photo. Moat sites offer email support and 5. Free search before payment Allowing you to try before you buy is pretty much industry standard. Most sites wont expect you to put your credit card details in before running a quick search on the site. Its always best to have a look around a site to see whether it has any members and whether any of those look like the kind of people you want to talk to. If a site requires you to pay first, be suspicious: it may well be a scam. What cant I expect from a site 1. 100% fault free Dating sites are not as easy to maintain as any of us would like. As a result, occasional downtime or bugs are inevitable. While its fair to accept a decent level of service (see above), do take into account that sometimes mistakes do happen. The fact that a site is big and successful doesnt necessarily mean it will run properly 100% of the time. As a rule, a few bugs here and there and the occasional few hours downtime are to be expected but if a site is down for days, youre probably better off going elsewhere unless the situation improves drastically. 2. Instant results Even online dating takes time and even the best sites may not deliver the results you want straight away. Even if a site looks disappointing at first glance, it may still turn out to be a winner if you give it a bit of time. Spending a few weeks on a site should be enough to tell you whether its the right site for you. If, after that, you are still not convinced, at least you 3. Support for issues not to do with the site Any good dating site will have a customer service team who will readily help you with any issues relating to the site itself. They are less likely to help you with issues relating to your own computer or Internet service and your ability to use them. Some may still do, but in general, the support teams who work for dating site companies, expect the users to have a basic level of Internet/computer knowledge. 4. Being able to deal with offensive things that happened off the site The people who moderate dating site only have jurisdiction over what happens on their site. They cannot, for example, act on the basis of emails sent off site, phone calls etc. The only thing they can do is cooperate with the police in cases where there is a need for further information when investigating a case. It is common practice for Internet scammers to try and lure people away from a dating site and into private conversations offsite as soon as possible, exactly for that reason. 5. Getting involved in personal relationships (telling you if a person has read your messages or not) It is impossible for site teams to get involved in what happens between users on the site unless the issue is someone is being offensive. They couldnt, for example, tell you whether someone has read your messages if that feature is not a standard feature on the site. They will also not be able to speak to another user on your behalf. Cure Your Problems With Herbal Medicine

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=James_Penn] James Penn Plants have traditionally been a major and the earliest source of medicine for people around the world. As the knowledge of healing propensities of plants was being accumulated in societies, people started to produce different extracts, oils, juices, solutions made from different roots, leaves, fruits of various plants. Throughout the millennia, herbal medicine, or physiotherapy, developed a wide range of medicines for a variety of purposes. Some treated wounds, others exerted revitalizing effects, still others targeted infections. Herbal supplements were both taken orally and used externally. The ancient knowledge of the medical effects is so advanced that our modern science has to revisit the traditional recipes repeatedly, all the time discovering new, almost miraculous, herb propensities. Not only did the ancient cultures discover those healing properties of the plants, they also learnt how to keep the medicines fresh and effective throughout the year by protecting them from sunset, humidity, and high temperatures. The herb St. Johns Wort, for instance, has been known, under different names, since very old times for its healing propensities. This plant is a rich source of choline, pectin, pseudohypericin found in both the flower and leaves. Those components possess a number of valuable qualities, - analgesic, antiseptic, also helping digestive processes. The plant is reported to possess certain anti-depressant qualities, and some studies indicate that certain elements found in it are useful in combating AIDS. Other plants, like the Chamomile flower, are widely used as aromatizers, as tea additives, but also have the propensities of promoting wounds healing. In measured qualities the extracts of the Chamomile flower can be quite useful for those suffering from disturbed sleep. Another useful herb is Feverfew whose leaves are rich in parthenolide. Soothing effects of Feverfew extracts have been used for a long time; it is said to relive headaches, toothaches, pains in joints, and other conditions. 5 Surefire Ways to Weight Management

By Jody Branch You have finally decided to tackle weight management and lose that pesky weight but you still don’t know where to start. Sometimes it is tougher to get started than to keep going! Before you do, there are a few things to think about first. 1. How much weight do you want to lose? First, if you are overweight, a loss of 5 to 15 percent of your body weight may improve many of the problems linked to being overweight, such as diabetes and high blood pressure. The American Dietetic Association suggests weight management goals be based on achieving the best weight possible in the context of overall health. Achieving an ideal Body Mass Index is not always realistic or desirable. 2. You Don’t Have To Lose It All Today. There is a temptation to take drastic measures to lose lots of weight quickly. This is a huge mistake. If you lose weight too fast, you are likely to lose muscle rather than fat and also increase your chances of developing other health issues such as gout and gallbladder problems. Try and think about your weight loss as a process. Take it one pound at a time. This should keep you from feeling so overwhelmed. 3.Come up with a plan to prevent Stress Eating. According to research, yo-yo dieters tend to turn to food for comfort. (When you inhale a bag of chips after a fight with your boyfriend or coworker, your using foods to cope with your stress.) Successful weight managent means finding ways to address the problem directly. Stress can make weight loss difficult. Finding ways to outsmart it is the key. But you can OVERCOME IT…Ask yourself whats driving your emotions. Are you tired? Emotional? Anxious? Once you find out what the cause is, you can come up with another way to release it without stuffing your face with junk. Try taking a walk, writing in a journal or take a bath. Trying stress- reducing activities such as meditation can serve as a preventative measure as well. 4. Have Fun. Weight management is not about forcing yourself through a diet. Most successful people say they feel great! They give themselves the ok to have something they want. That way they do not feel like they are giving up all their favorite foods. Focus on the positive changes and how you feel. Instead of saying “I can’t have that”, figure out how you can fit it into your diet. Give yourself non-food rewards. Buy yourself something nice. New jeans, that massage you have been wanting. Buy yourself some great workout gear that will motivate you. 5. Figure out your emotional reason for staying on track. Make a list of all the reasons you want to lose weight. I don’t mean saying because you want to look hot in a bikini. I am talking about picturing yourself feeling uncomfortable in a bikini, but uncomfortable in yor clothes! What makes you shudder when you think about staying the way you are? Think about all these while deciding to make a change. Just remember, YOU CAN DO IT! IT IS ATTAINABLE! Believe in yourself and you can reach your goal of weight management and weight loss. Other peoples homes (6) Victorian Edinburgh, Lauriston Gardens

By Olivia Hughes Easy like Sunday morning but, what do you do when its blustery and wet, youve read the Sunday papers, drunk more coffee than is good for you and ruled out going back to bed? Of course, you tackle a job that you have been putting off for far too long. So, last Sunday saw me sorting through a shoe box full of old photographs - moments in time that make you smile, cry and remember. One of the photographs I discovered amongst the collection was of my Grandmothers home in Lauriston Gardens, Edinburgh. As I looked at it so many childhood memories came flooding back. When we were very young my sister and I would be taken on the Flying Scotsman from Londons Charing Cross Station to Edinburghs Waverley Station for a holiday with my Grandmother. Right next to the Meadows and Bruntisfield Links within the shadow of Arthurs Seat my Grandmother had an enormous double fronted ground floor flat in a traditional grey sandstone tenement block. Built around 1860 it was so different from our brick built homes in Southern England. During the 19th century tenements became the predominant type of new housing in Scotlands industrial cities. Three to five stories high with two to four flats on each floor. They are sometimes referred to as closies (a reference to the passageway through which entry is gained to the upper flats). We used to think the flat very special because it had its own main door entry. In front was a narrow garden planted with ferns and rose bushes separated from the pavement by a low stone wall topped with cast iron railings and fleur de lys rail heads. The path leading to the storm doors and front door was paved with black and white diamond shaped tiles and outside no ordinary bell. It was a brass handled bell pull mounted on an oak back plate. When you pulled the handle a never ending brass bar seemed to come out of the wall and magically ring a bell inside in the hallway. The hallway seemed to go on forever with high ceilinged rooms off either side. It always seemed to be very dark in the hallway and our feet would echo on the floor tiles laid out in a fascinating geometric design of terracotta, blue and white. At the end of the hall was a Grandfather Clock, twice as tall as us children, with a door in the front. My sister and I would balance on the plinth to open the door and take it in turns to hide inside. I cringe now to think of what damage we must have caused to the mechanism. Apart from the heavy wooden window shutters, folded back in the summer but closed in the winter to keep warmth from the fires in and the cold Scottish climate out the most vivid memory that sprang to mind as I looked at the photograph was of the beautiful cast iron cooking range. In Victorian times the range was the centrepiece of every home. Homes were warmed and food was served from them. My Grandmother and Grandfather moved into their flat in about 1926 and my Grandmother continued to live there until she died in 1977. In all those years her range was an essential part of her home. Regularly black leaded the range must have been about 5ft. long with a massive dark wood and green tiled fire surround, mantelpiece, and brass towel rail. It had three hotplates and two ovens one each side of the central firebox. She always had a coal scuttle full of coal standing beside the range that, winter or summer alike would always be alight. One very faded print that held so many happy memories. Did I finish the job I set out to do? No, the sun came out, the shoe box lid went back on and the box was returned to the cupboard again until another wet weather job is called for with another opportunity to meander down memory lane. Guide to Finding an Alternative Student Loan

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Mark_Kessler]Mark Kessler Although US Department of Education student loans are the most common form of financial aid, sometimes families find they need an alternative student loan to get their children through college. For one thing, competition is rising to secure the limited number of federal student loans, and if your application is not received early, you might not receive any aid. At the same time, the maximum loan amount available through a Stafford loan has stayed the same for over ten years, while tuition costs continue to soar. Furthermore, most federal student loans presume that parents will foot part of the bill, but some parents are unable or unwilling to contribute to the students education fund, leaving even more money for the college applicant to come up with. If federal student loans are not enough to cover a college attendees bill, then he or she needs to find an alternative student loan. The most common form of alternative student loan is the private loan, which is offered by banks and other lending institutions. Students with poor or no credit might require a co-signer on the loan, however, and alternative loan rates might not be as stellar as with Department of Education loans. The financial aid office of most universities will be able to help students find a banker that offers an alternative student loan at a fair interest rate. The personal bank of the students parents might also offer educational loans. Young adults searching for an alternative student loan should be very careful to read the fine print of any private lender and to shop around to receive the best rates. Of course, before signing on the dotted line, students might consider ways to avoid an alternative student loan altogether. Some creative ways to lower college costs include researching accelerated study courses which take less time to earn a degree, attending a less expensive community college for the basic credits and then transferring to a more prestigious school for the last few years (and the precious degree), and scholarships. There are oftentimes more scholarships available than people realize; a local grant may be enough to bring college expenses to a manageable level. There are even colleges that charge no tuition at all, requiring instead that their students work a few hours a week at jobs related to their course of study. Not only is this a way to secure an inexpensive education, but it also provides valuable experience in your field. Finally, some investment groups offer creative ways to fund college by banking on the students future earnings. They will pay the college costs in exchange for a percentage of future earnings (usually between 1% and 4%) for a fixed period. Whether you finance your college fees through alternative student loans or simple ingenuity, there is no reason today for tuition costs to hinder students from receiving an education. Even if federal student loans do not seem to be enough, there are many ways to get an excellent education and to secure a brighter future. Lost Wax & Lost Foam Casting Processes.

By Colin Croucher Investment or lost wax casting is a versatile but ancient process, it is used to manufacture a huge variety of parts ranging from turbocharger wheels to golf club heads, from electronic boxes to hip replacement implants. The industry, though heavily dependent on aerospace and defence outlets, has expanded to meet a widening range of applications. Modern investment casting has its roots in the heavy demands of the Second World War, but it was the adoption of jet propulsion for military and then for civilian aircraft that stimulated the transformation of the ancient craft of lost wax casting into one of the foremost techniques of modern industry. Investment casting expanded greatly worldwide during the 1980s, in particular to meet growing demands for aircraft engine and airframe parts. Today, investment casting is a leading part of the foundry industry, with investment castings now accounting for 15% by value of all cast metal production in the UK. It really is the modernisation of an ancient art. Lost wax casting has been used for at least six millennia for sculpture and jewellery. About one hundred years ago, dental inlays and, later, surgical implants were made using the technique. World War two accelerated the demand for new technology and then with the introduction of gas turbines for military aircraft propulsion transformed the ancient craft into a modern metal-forming process. Turbine blades and vanes had to withstand higher temperatures as designers increased engine efficiency by raising inlet gas temperatures. Modern technology has certainly benefited from a very old and ancient metal casting process. The lost wax casting technique eventually led to the development of the process known as Lost Foam Casting. What is Lost Foam Casting? Lost foam casting or (LFC) is a type of metal casting process that uses expendable foam patterns to produce castings. Lost foam casting utilises a foam pattern which remains in the mould during metal pouring. The foam pattern is replaced by molten metal, producing the casting. The use of foam patterns for metal casting was patented by H.F. Shroyer during then year of 1958. In Shroyer’s patent, a pattern was machined from a block of expanded polystyrene (EPS) and supported by bonded sand during pouring. This process is known as the full mould process. With the full mould process, the pattern is usually machined from an EPS block and is used to make large, one-of-a kind castings. The full mould process was originally known as the lost foam process. However, current patents have required that the generic term for the process is known as full mould. It wasn’t until 1964 when, M.C. Fleming’s used unbonded dry silica sand with the process. This is known today as lost foam casting (LFC). With LFC, the foam pattern is moulded from polystyrene beads. LFC is differentiated from the full mould method by the use of unbonded sand (LFC) as opposed to bonded sand (full mould process). Foam casting techniques have been referred to by a variety of generic and proprietary names. Among these are lost foam, evaporative pattern casting, evaporative foam casting, full mould, Styrocast, Foamcast, Styrocast, and foam vaporization casting. All these terms have led to much confusion about the process for the design engineer, casting user and casting producer. The lost foam process has even been adopted by people who practice the art of home hobby foundry work, it provides a relatively simple & inexpensive method of producing metal castings in the backyard foundry. Fishing Sea Walls And Riprap

By Ronald Moody Tired of fishing with your GPS and finding nothing, tired of dragging that Carolina rig all over the bottom of the lake, tired of trying to come across that magic spot on the lake. Well you may be ready to try your hand at fishing rocky riprap or seawalls, those obvious shoreline, hugging features found on lakes, rivers and reservoirs across the county. These forms of cover can held bass throughout the year. These spots are simple to find and are easy to fish. Here are some tip for fishing riprap and seawalls. SEAWALL PATTERN: When theres a large surface mat of water hyacinths has blown up against a long stretch of seawall. When you tie on a Gary Yamamoto custem bait 3 inches fat baby craw, with a big bullet weight and begin picking the floating vegation apart. Fishing floating mats against a seawall or near the seawall, theres usually clean water underneath it all the way to the wall. This is a good spot do to combined horizontal cover with vertical and its open underneath. That crawl space will attract a lot of space. Flip right through the top of the mat and start at the deep edge. But dont forget to fish the seam between the mat and the seawall. GIVE THE SEAWALL A HUG: One technique is paralleling the wall with hard plastic lures and buzz baits. Also hugging the wall with a lizard, tube, worm and creature is just as important. One of the most important things if your pitching against the wall is to get the bait to fall as close to the wall If you are using a baitcaster you have to feed line out to allow the bait to fall up against the wall. If you are using a spinning reel its the same just dont close the bell until the bait hits the bottom. The other you can do is pitch the lure toward the wall and have it hit 1 to 3 inches before the wall, and then peel off line. It tends to fall more toward the wall. FALL PATTERN: When fall comes the bass are migrating into and out of creeks, so the riprap provides an easy, dependable way to intercept bass. Fishing in the fall the bass are moving shallow or coming back out and they have to go through bridges to do that. So riprap along bridges would be a prime pattern Some good lures for this would be a shad colored crank bait like Rebel Wee R or 5A and 6A Bombers to crank the rocks, also the bomber long A jerk bait is another good choice. Cast parallel to the rock line and concentrate on deflecting the lure as often as possible. The biggest key in the fall is repetitive casting, you ask why, because the bass have seen lures all summer. So its important to cast repetition to a good looking area like a point of the riprap or a tree or brush laying down along the riprap. PARALLEL PARKING FOR BASS: When it comes to bass fish there are not to many hard and fast rules but when you come across a seawall and lines of riprap, one rule rings come to mind. Take a casting angle that enables them to be paralleled with a lure. Another lure of choice for fishing seawalls and riprap or bulkheads are throwing a topwater and spinner baits in the morning, then a lipless crank bait or shallow diving crank bait later in the day. But regardless of the lure, always parallel them as much as possible and at least 45 degrees them, depending on the water depth and position the fish are in. Remember to put your lure as close to the wall as possible, or even bang it off the wall as you bring it back to the boat. RIPRAP ROADMAP: Riprap can be intimidating to some fisherman or woman. Whether it is the foundation of a bridge, current break or erosion control for a stretch of shoreline, riprap can look over whelming in some situations. You may have riprap two miles long and it all looks the same, so where do you start bass fishing. You got to understand what lies beneath the surface is not exactly the same. Its important to locate irregular features in an otherwise uniform line of riprap. So you look for visible things like logs, treetop or flotsam that has drifted against the rocks or an unusually large rock is always worth fishing. But there are concealed irregular features that will hold a lot more bass. On lakes, a small ditch or creek may run into the riprap and come to a stop. Usually, a bridge crosses a channel and there will be a culvert nearby on one side of the riprap foundation. This can be an outstanding spot. Ronald Moody has been an avid fisherman for over 40 years. He enjoys all types of fishing, but especially likes salt-water fishing; he has been all over the country practicing his hobby. Want to Keep the Pounds Off? Stay Home Tonight!

By Sarah Sandori And you thought it was all those late-night raids on the fridge that were causing you to pack on pounds … It turns out that if you have a weight problem, one of the major culprits might be all those restaurant meals you’re eating. At least that’s what a study reported in the Western Journal of Nursing Research suggests. Researchers at the University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing found that women tend to eat between 200 and 300 extra calories on those days when they dine out. They also consume some 10 to 16 additional grams of fat. Although the study looked at women, experts note that many men and children probably over-consume when dining out, too. They say the solution is obvious: Choose deliberately to dine out a bit less often. Another tip: Don’t try to save up calories in anticipation of eating out. It doesn’t work. If you skip meals or eat too little earlier in the day, you’ll be tempted into binging at the restaurant. Here’s an idea that I’ve implemented successfully in my household. If there’s a particular restaurant that you and your family just love to eat at, learn to make your favorite menu items from there at home. Making restaurant “copycat” dishes at home is not that hard. There are even inexpensive e-books you can download from the Internet that are full of secret restaurant recipes from all of the big-name chain restaurants. Try it – you’ll save money, and maybe some extra poundage as well. Sarah Sandori is the food and entertaining columnist for the Solid Gold Info Writers Consortium. Have you ever wanted to be able to exactly duplicate a favorite dish from a favorite restaurant? An RX For Your Resume

By Yasmeen Abdur-Rahman Whether you are an accountant, virtual assistant, or a corporate executive, your job skills are constantly refined. A new sales presentation youve organized or the new spreadsheet package youve mastered should be included on your rsum. You may have new skills that could turn your dead-end job into a new career in another field. If you update your rsum continually, it makes it easier to send it out at a moments notice. Your rsum should be well written, typeset and laser printed. It should also be suited for your targeted employer and field, focusing on your key experience. It should be free of all grammatical errors and appealing to the eye. A cover letter is generally sent with your rsum. It explains the reason for your interest and the reason a potential employer should consider your qualifications. Many people are considering freelance opportunities. Choosing to give up the chaotic corporate world and start a new venture requires planning.
